Robert’s Photography explores themes of man’s coexistence with the environment through fashion and architecture

Robert was born in Manhattan and moved to Cuzco, Peru as a baby.  He grew up amidst the remnants of Spanish colonialism and native traditions, which sparked his interest in culture and fashion. At the age of 8, he moved with his father to the Bahamas and then to Massachusetts at Age 10, he remained there for his studies and graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1980. 

To pursue his interest in art and culture Robert attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in international relations.

Always evolving, his successful entry into the world of Fine art photography has been recognized by many notable private collectors and his photos hang in many prestigious homes and galleries around the world.

Commissioned fashion and portrait editorial work has appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Town and Country, People, Cosmopolitan, Playboy, George, and numerous other publications. 

He has also photographed many celebrities including JFK Jr, Shakira, Pitbull, Paulina Rubio, Pablo Montero, Sofía Vergara, Roy Jones Jr, as well as most recently Pope Francis for a short film that appeared in Manhattan. 

As an active philanthropist, Robert is an Ambassador to All Hands and Hearts, which has successfully built 309 schools on 4 continents since 2006.  Robert was responsible for building the first school in Java following a strong earthquake in Yogyakarta in 2006.   

He is also a committed defender of indigenous rights in the Amazon as an active board Member of the Rainforest Foundation as well as being a member of the New York Explorers Club.
